Santos Organics is an environmental charity and social enterprise that is deeply embedded in the community of the Byron Shire. Operating since 1978 and becoming a not-for-profit in December 2016, Santos Organics donates a large portion of net profits directly back into the community including to other environmental charities working to preserve and enhance the ecological integrity and biodiversity of the Northern Rivers region.
Santos Organics also has a flagship project called Grow the Growers that aims to support organic and regenerative farmers in the Northern Rivers to thrive; and to create resilient food supply and distribution networks for sustainable regional food security.
Partnering with The Returning, Santos Organics aims to nurture a strong, healthy local community while building lasting relationships with the Traditional Custodians of the land, the people of the Bundjalung Nation.
